Our Daily Schedule…

Half-Day A.M. schedule:  8:00 am-12:00 pm.

Half-Day P.M. schedule:  12:30-4:30 pm.

Full-Day program:  8:00 am-4:30 pm

*Our daily program is fun and flexible.  Activities are tailored to meet the developmental abilities of the children, and our schedule changes according to the weather, the children’s interests, and/or special events.  

 

 8:00 Indoor Play & Activities 

Children choose from a wide variety of activities…

Cognitive Activities:  puzzles, building, counting/sorting activities, shapes, etc.

Social & Pretend Play:  trucks/trains, house center, dress-up, animals, etc.

 Language Activities:  writing/tracing, reading practice, phonics games etc.

 Science: magnets, weights, magnifying glasses, microscopes, etc. (theme-dependent)

                 Sensory Play:  Playdough, monkey foam, wikistix, silly putty, etc.

          

A.M. Visual Art Rotations

During indoor play, children take turns working in small groups

to complete their guided art activity.

Creative Arts:  painting, watercolors, sculpting, stamping, print-making, etc.

Crafts:  cutting, gluing, patterning, following designs, etc.

                                  

8:45  Clean Up 

Children practice being self sufficient as they sort and organize their toys.

                                        

9:00 Morning Snack

Children enjoy a midmorning snack (included in tuition).

                                        

9:20 Book Time

Children enjoy choosing books to share with friends or look at independently.

                   

9:30  Circle Time Group Lesson

Early Literacy Activities, Vocabulary, Songs/Poems, & Phonics Practice

 Math or Science Guided Activity

Calendar & Weather

 

10:00  Outdoor Play & Activities

Physical Activities:  tricycles, climber/slide, balls, discs, tunnels, hula hoops, etc.

Science & Nature Study:  gardening, outdoor science centers, etc.

Sensory Play:  sandbox, water table, moon-sand, bubbles, mystery bins, etc.

                            

11:15  Clean-Up

Children are taught to organize their belongings and put away their toys independently.

      

11:20  Music & Movement Group Lesson

Children learn about rhythm, pitch, volume, beat, etc. through activities

where they listen, sing, dance, and/or play musical instruments.

We play musical games involving hand signs and music manipulatives.

                              

11:45  “Puzzle Time”

Children engage in cognitive skill building puzzle activities.

 (12:30 pm  -Half-Day P.M. Drop-off)

                              

12:00-12:45 Indoor Free Play

Children choose from a wide variety of activities…

12:45 Lunch

(Meals are included with tuition.)

                              

1:15 Story Time/Nap begins

Children who nap move to the nap area and are read stories before going to sleep.

Children who don’t nap also relax on our super comfy cushioned nap pads

and quietly listen to stories read aloud.

                              

1:30 Writing/Tracing Activities 

         Children strengthen their fine motor skills

while practice tracing and/or writing letters and numbers.

 

1:40-2:30 Indoor Play & Activities

Cognitive Activities:  puzzles, building, counting/sorting activities, shapes, etc.

Social & Pretend Play:  trucks/trains, house center, dress-up, animals, etc.

 Language Activities:  writing, reading/books, phonics games, etc.

 Science: magnets, weights, science center, etc.

  Sensory Play:  Playdough, monkey foam, wikistix, silly putty, etc.

 

P.M. Art Rotations

During play-time the full-day and half-day afternoon children work in

small groups to complete their guided art activity.

 

Reading/Phonics Practice (ages 4-5)

        During afternoon play time, 4 and 5-year-old children have the opportunity to receive one-on-one tutoring geared towards their ability levels.  They may practice letter sounds, blending letters into words, or work on leveled readers.

 

2:30 Afternoon Circle Time/Spanish Circle Time (Wed./Thurs.)

(Twice a week we have fun learning Spanish vocabulary with Miss Maria!)

                                       

3:00 Afternoon Snack

(Snack is included in tuition.)

                              

3:20 Outdoor Play (if weather permits)

4:10  Clean Up & Water Break

Children help out and working collectively to clean up all of their toys,

and then stay hydrated with a water break.

 

4:15  Table Activities

Children can choose from a variety of puzzles, memory match tiles,

or other cognitive skill-based activities.

                         

4:25-4:30 Parent Pick-up
